We've Moved to 1332 N. Halsted!

With the expansion of staff, Present Awakenings needed new offices. At the beginning of July, we moved and began seeing clients at 1332 N Halsted St, Suite 403 in Chicago, IL. This new home will further help us with our mission of helping adults heal from trauma and loss.

THE PROCESS

The search for new offices began in early 2025, and while there was lots of open concept office space available, there were only a few office space options that could work for Present Awakenings' needs. Luckily, we found this former therapy space on Halsted St between North Ave. and Division St. that was perfect for our growing needs. Originally, it had 3 offices for therapy, one of which was overly large. Dividing that office into 2 offices, updating the kitchenette, adding new carpet, and fresh paint made it perfect for Present Awakenings.

THE DESIGN

Throughout, the new office design is meant to invoke a sense of serenity, helping everyone who comes into the space to feel calmer, with visual accents and interests that can help with grounding when needed. With a color palette of creams, browns, grays, teals/blues, walnut wood, and gold accents, Stacy chose mid-century modern inspired furniture and glam accents to give the space a comfortable, yet elegant look.

THE LOBBY AND KITCHENETTE

The lobby -- with soft lighting, neutral colors, and gold accents -- sets the tone for the whole space. It has plenty of room for our clients coming to see us in-person to wait for their sessions, and also has enough room to house a reference library for our clinicians. A small kitchenette for our clinicians allows us to take care of ourselves while focusing on our clients.

THERAPY OFFICES

The therapy offices are designed help put our clients at ease and have all the tools we need to be great EMDR therapists. Joe's office includes a brown suede chesterfield sofa, dynamic artwork, and lots of visual interest.  

Stacy's office includes a large mid-century modern inspired blue sofa, two rocking chairs that can be used for soothing, lots of natural light, and artwork and decor that invoke the calming nature of the sea. 

Office 3 makes good use of a smaller space while turning up the glam elements. It's gray and gold sofa, teal chair, and gold and glass desk fit perfectly with both the space and the office theme.

Office 2 is still coming together. It has a cozy couch, cozy lighting, and plant imagery to make it a soothing space.
